Does “Forest Feud” refer to the fight that these 2 monkeys are engaged in or does it refer to the fact that the Zanzibar Red Columbus Money is in a feud against nature to maintain existence? I will leave that one up to you.

 

After arriving in Zanzibar for a relaxing honeymoon I quickly realised that Zanzibar is the home to the endangered Red Columbus Monkey so I straight away told the wife that my time on our honeymoon had to be shared with the monkeys as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. My wife eventually agreed to join me in a trip to the Jozani forest. After about 10 minutes of shooting the Red Columbus monkeys she said she felt sick. I turned around and her face was literally yellow…she really didn’t look well at all. She threw up and nearly passed out so we had no other option but to leave the Jozani forest and head back to the hotel. My wife was felt better after a while (she had heat stroke because she didn’t consume enough water that day).

 

When I researched the Red Columbus Monkey I was surprised how little they are documented compared to another monkeys. I am assuming this is because of how rare they are, and Zanzibar is the only place to capture which I was very lucky to have the opportunity to do. At this point I was the closest I could get to the Red Columbus without invading their personal space and feel lucky to have captured their playfulness up close.
